Two mosaics at Flushing Meadows-Carona Park, the site of two New York City World's Fairs in 1939 and 1964. The first is "Robert Moses" (by Andy Warhol). Moses was one of the key people behind the 1964-65 fair. The second mosaic is "Fountain of the Planets" (I don't know who the artist is).

Articulated Bus - the MTA is considering replacing these with double-decker buses. These atticulated monstrosities have got to be the worst buses ever put into service on NYC streets.

Shadows, light, and lots of color on the Lower East Side. I can't believe how quickly these trees filled out.

3 for 1: Near the Brooklyn Bridge. The metal structure below the Brooklyn tower of the bridge (seen most clearly in the 3rd photo) is going to be one of 2 temporary waterfalls being constructed (the other near the Manhattan bridge - in the distance).

Here are a couple of unique trees that are indigenous to urban areas like New York City. It's rare to find all three of these species growing so close together. But, here you'll find the Corona Beer Box Tree, the Balloon Tree, and a few variations of the Plastic Bag.
