Some of the last remaining leaves in the neighborhood. These trees will probably be bare by Monday.

The trip home from JFK Int'l Airport took me over the Williamsburg Bridge by subway. This is a photo from the front window of the train, approaching the bridge on the Brooklyn side. The blurry area of the photo is caused by "scratchiti" on the window. The domed building on the left is the former Williamsburg Savings Bank. It's now an HSBC bank branch.

Still stranded and unable to upload/edit photos. Here's one from about 2 years ago - an altered photo of the subway entrance at the southern end of Times Square, 42nd Street & 7th Ave.

Here's another photo from about a year ago - one of the sculptures at Battery Park City by Tom Otterness. He has quite a few at Battery Park City (at least when I took this photo). But, my favorite one of his is in the subway station at 8th Ave & 14th Street - an alligator crawling out of a manhole cover chomping on a youngster.

Stranded, away from my "real" laptop - but, with access to some old photos stored online. Here's a photo from about a year ago on 5th Avenue near Rockefeller Center.

Empire State Building in the distant haze. The building to the left with the gold-colored roof is the New York Life Insurance Building. The red hamster cage in the foreground is the pedestrian path on the Williamsburg Bridge.

2-for-1. Both of these were taken under the Manhattan approach to the Brooklyn Bridge, through a bus window. The first shows what appear to be windows that were bricked over a long time ago. The second, just a few feet to the right, shows autumn colors finally kicking in (very late this year).

Looking down Ann Street towards Vesey Street and the new 7 World Trade Center. To date, this is the only building constructed on any part of the former WTC site.

This photo was created for a newspaper ad showing an inviting park surrounded by apartment buildings. The layout dictated a square-ish photo. I used 9 separate images, stitched together to get the height and width. This park is on Grand Street, near FDR Drive, on the Lower East Side

A sort of watercolor effect. The tallest building (left of center) is Trump World Tower. Appearing to its right in the image is the Secretariat Building of the United Nations.

Not sure what this is, or why it's there. But, whatever it is, it's standing on the corner of Cedar St. and Broadway, in the financial district, not far from the old World Trade Center site.
