Grand Central Station Revisited

I went to the Apple Genius Bar at their Grand Central store on Saturday and wanted to take a photo of the main concourse to test my new 16mm f/2.8 prime lens + wide angle adapter. But I grabbed the wrong lens as I ran out the door so I needed to use my kit zoom lens (16-50mm) at 16mm instead. I wasn't happy with the results so I went back yesterday with the right lens + adapter and I'm much happier with this shot.

Corlears Hook / FDR Drive

This is the FDR Drive at Grand Street, just before it curves around Corlears Hook and heads towards South Ferry. The layer of clouds passing overhead was too good to pass up. This is one of the first photos I took while testing my new NEX camera. So far I've been pleased with the results I'm getting. I'm even more happy that it doesn't break my back carrying it plus a lens or two... a huge difference between this and the larger, heavier Canon gear that resulted in back, neck & shoulder pain and numbness in my hand whenever I carried it.
