Zeckendorf Towers
The apartment complex originally known as Zeckendorf Towers, now also known as One Irving Place and One Union Square. This photo was taken about 1 hour before sundown. I didn't notice the moon at the left of the towers until I got home and viewed the pic on my computer screen.

There's never a taxi when you need one...
I was passing on the bus and couldn't see if this is a taxi stand of if these 3 taxis were parked here just by coincidence.

Element
Element and The Vault at Element on E. Houston & Essex Streets. I pass this on the bus frequently and always admire the lighting on this old bank building. This time the bus stopped at the corner long enough for me to grab this shot from the window.

Kozy Korner
Kozy Korner (or was it Cozy Corner?) is not the name of the convenience store that's there today. But, most of use long-time Grand Street east-enders still call the 24-Hr. convenience store and the corner on which it sits (really a triangle point formed by the intersection of Madison and Grand Streets), "Kozy Korner" - the name of the original store which occupied that spot since the late 50s. In its day, it was THE place to hang out in the 'hood.

Almost Gone
I've been unable to get around this week due to back pain. But, I managed to walk around the block today and caught the last of the leaves on these trees. They'll be all gone in a few days - at least for this year.
