6 for 1: I had the opportunity to watch the painting of a new ad on my fave billboard at 23rd St & Park Ave South. Note the 2nd scaffold at the lower right corner in the first photo. The 5 smaller photos which follow show the progress of the guys painting that white area. As each painter needed to reach an area, he would move his end of the scaffold up or down. I couldn't tell if there is a template on the wall that they were following. If there isn't then these guys are a special breed of artist.

That is very cool. How long does it take for them to paint a new one? I thought that they were just printed material and glued up like wallpaper like other billboards.
