Taken thru a tinted taxi window - I've passed this building hundreds of times but never noticed this until getting stuck in traffic here yesterday. The Cable Building was built in the 1890s to house the generator plant which powered the cable cars that ran on Broadway at the time. Broadway & Houston Street, Manhattan.

TTW - Willow Steam Plant
Taken thru a hotel window (not the cleanest, either) in Philadelphia.... While playing with the zoom on my camera I saw this interesting building in the distance. It turns out to be an abandoned steam plant at 9th Street & Willow Street. I'm still trying to learn how to get "clean" shots at long focal lengths with this camera and I really should have used a tripod for this. Also lots of distance compression due to the long zoom. The zoom for this photo is the equivalent of about 440mm

Abandoned Railroad Car
On an Amtrak train returning home from Philelphia, I spotted a familiar logo on an old rail car sitting near what seemed to be an abandoned building near Newark, NJ. Mays was a popular department store in the NYC area operated by the J. W. Mays company from the late 1920s thru the late 1980s. Taken thru the tinted window of a moving Amtrak NE Regional train.

Tetris-like Facadescape
I zoomed in on the downtown Manhattan skyline from high above the Lower East Side, panning from side to side looking for something interesting. This group of buildings made me think of Tetris blocks fitting together and wrapping around each other.
