Under the El

This was taken underneath the elevated subway tracks in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn (just west of Coney Island) back in May. The shadows and rust on the underside of the structure caught my attention as I was crossing the street.

One of my favorite buildings in the neighborhood - on East Broadway at Samuel Dickstein Place. The shadows on the wall caught my attention as I approached the corner.

Tudor City and the late day western sky reflected in the facade of the United Nations secretariat building.

Late Afternoon Sun...

...lighting the tops of "the round building" (well, that's what I call it) and Stuyvesant Town in the background. The round building is part of the Beth Israel Hospital complex.

MLK Jr. Community Garden

Element and The Vault at Element on E. Houston & Essex Streets. I pass this on the bus frequently and always admire the lighting on this old bank building. This time the bus stopped at the corner long enough for me to grab this shot from the window.
