North of Grand

Looking north of Grand Street between Norfolk and Essex Streets. The old Seward Park High School building (left) now houses 5 smaller high schools instead. The taller building beyond the school is the new dormitory for the School of Visual Arts, at Delancey Street. And, the crazy-angled building between the two tall ones at the right is Blue, also at Delancey Street.

New York's Bravest

FDNY responded to an automobile accident where the car ended up on the sidewalk, knocking over a traffic light. I felt sorry for the guys in the heavy rubber suits standing out under the hot sun. The temperature was close to 100 degrees.
