2 for 1 - since I haven't posted in a while. The first is deliberately deceptive. It looks like we had a lot of snow. The buildings are across the East River along the Williamsburg (Brooklyn) waterfront. The snow here on the Manhattan side of the river was actually man-made, for an upcoming Snow Boarding Contest on Feb 5 at East River Park (Houston Street & FDR Drive). The 2nd photo shows the ramp that was built (on freight containers) for the event.
